Instagram Stories Help With Website Traffic!
2018 June 18
As you can expect, more and more businesses and brands are going to Instagram for digital marketing in hopes of getting more website traffic!
The average age of someone who is using Instagram is 18-29 years old. If your businesses is targeting this audience and not on Instagram, you could be missing out on huge opportunities.
A simple way to bring people to your website is through the “swipe up” feature on Instagram. This feature is not for everyone. It is only offered to those who are “verified,” and have over 10,000 followers. This does not mean we forget about this tool.
You simply add an image to your business Instagram story. You can click on the link option and it brings you to another page to add the link inside.
Once it is added, it will show a small arrow on the bottom of your story. This takes you directly to the landing page you want your audience to go to.
Instagram Story Ads
An Instagram Story Ad is a simple way to get followers to view your IG story. This can be a difficult process because once the ads have been viewed they cannot be viewed again.
You want to grab their attention in those few seconds you have it.
How can you do this?
You want to relate to the customer. If you are selling shoes - what about the shoes does the customer want. The comfort or style. You need to show them why they need your product.
You can add text, graphics, and design it however you feel is fit. Always make your brand name as visible as possible without overtaking the ad itself.
A Call To Action
Okay, you got their attention. Now you want your audience to go to the website, product, or landing pages.
This is done with a call to action on your Instagram story ad or story. An example of a great call to action is, “Get style and comfort all day, wear with us!”
Tagging Your Own Profile
A simple way to get more followers to your website is with tagging your business profile on your story. You simply put @omgaustintx on your story.
This allows your audience to click on your business page. It takes them directly to the Instagram.
From here, you can add the link you in your bio. This method is a more time consuming; however, it still works at the end of the day.
